About Sydney

Sydney Anderson, MS, RD, CSSD, LDN, CSCS is a Registered Dietitian, Board-Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist based in Hickory, NC. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nutrition from Kent State University, where she competed as an NCAA Division I softball player, and later completed her Master's degree and dietetic internship in Nutrition and Physical Performance at Saint Louis University. Sydney has worked in private practice since 2021, providing individualized nutrition counseling to adolescent and adult athletes across a variety of sports and performance levels. She also gained collegiate sports nutrition experience with the University of Louisville football program. Her areas of expertise include sports performance, low energy availability and RED-S, eating disorders and disordered eating, and body composition. She is passionate about helping athletes optimize performance and recovery through practical, evidence-based fueling strategies while maintaining a healthy relationship with food. Sydney has a particular interest in low energy availability and RED-S, disordered eating and eating disorder recovery in athletes, and helping athletes pursue body composition and performance goals without compromising adequate fueling, recovery, or overall health. She especially enjoys helping athletes understand the “why” behind their nutrition and finding realistic ways to put that knowledge into practice within the demands of training, competition, work, school, and everyday life. She strives to help athletes perform at their best while also fostering a healthy and enjoyable relationship with food. A lifelong athlete herself, Sydney spent 8 years participating in CrossFit and continues to enjoy strength training, running, and staying active. Outside of the gym, she enjoys spending time outdoors, trying new restaurants (especially pizza!), watching sports, and spending time with her boyfriend and two dogs, Asher and Milo.

Questions about booking Sydney

+Why can't I book Sydney from my state?
Dietitians are licensed per state and may only see clients where they hold a license. If Sydney isn't licensed where you live, we'll show you dietitians who are.
+Can I switch to a different dietitian later?
Yes, anytime. Booking Sydney doesn't lock you in.
+None of Sydney's times work for me.
Her calendar shows the next three months. If nothing fits, write to us and we'll ask her, or get matched with a dietitian with an earlier time.
